Do you know the way to San José....

.....the song says but change it to San Sebastián de los Reyes. If you want to come to our Pub Quiz (April) and Paperback Exchange (May) you may need these directions.... Take the metro to Baunatal which must be one of the nicest metro stops in Madrid. Not everybody knows that San Sebastián de los Reyes is twinned with Baunatal, a lovely town near Kassel in Germany. Come out of the metro , turn left and cross the road and you have a nice view on a clear day of the sierra.

              

But you have to turn left again and go up Av Lomas del Rey towards Alcobendas. Do you remember Penelope Cruz saying, 'I grew up in a town called Alcobendas? ' when she received her Oscar? Bravo Penelope! As you come to Alcobendas you will see a roundabout with an owl on a pedestal. Now you have to look for a bar called Nuba. Go in and notice the lovely tiles imported from Africa.
