The public libraries of San Sebastián De Los Reyes have organized different events to take place in the month of November for adults and children interested in the English language.
They are promoting the music and literature of the many English speaking countries and this the first year, they will begin with IRELAND home to writers Oscar Wilde, James Joyce, George Bernard Shaw, Seamus Heaney, Bram Stoker, Jonathan Swift, Samuel Beckett, William Trevor, Brian Friel, Frank O Connor, Anne Enright, Walter Macken, James Plunkett, Sean O' Casey, Edna O' Brien, Colm Toibín to name but a few.
Many of these writers' works are in the libraries translated into Spanish. There are good dvds and cds for you to borrow too.
Not only that but you can pick up some leaflets and map of the Emerald Island generously donated by the Irish Tourist Board.
