AUDREY WRITES:
Letz Zep are a British Led Zeppelin tribute band who formed in
2008 and have been on tour virtually ever since, bringing Led Zeppelin's music
to new audiences throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.
They usually begin a strenuous touring year in Spain in January and February
and announce the itinerary beforehand in the gig listings on their website, www.letzzep.com
The
band's members collectively possess the necessary musical skills to be capable
of reproducing the sound of Led Zeppelin at their very best. This means that a
two to three hour concert is likely to include classics such as Good Times Bad
Times, Rock and Roll, No Quarter, Dazed and Confused, Kashmir, Immigrant Song,
Stairway to Heaven, Whole Lotta Love, and on the slower side, songs like Thank
You, Since I've Been Loving You, Ramble On, as well as acoustic songs,
Tangerine, Going to California, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp.
I am a long time fan of the band and I found out about Letz Zep
purely by chance in 2011. I went to see them and came away absolutely amazed by
how good they were. I would have been content to only have seen them once if
only once was all that would have been possible but thanks to their love of
playing in Spain, I've been able to see them in subsequent years and that
'good' keeps on getting better and better :)
I can fully recommend Letz Zep to anyone who likes Led Zeppelin and would like to experience a great live performance of their timeless rock classics.
The photo is from the 2014 concert venue to which they returned
in 2016:
Circulo de Arte in Toledo. This historic building, a
medieval church, once used for meetings of the Knights Templar in the days of
the Crusades was a impressive setting for this music.
