What is so fascinating about stars? Avid fans want to know everything about their idols whether they are football stars, television stars, pop stars or film stars.

Luis has sent us fascinating links where we can  see photos of Sinatra behind the scenes. Was it his elegance, his voice, his looks that people loved?

And to read, an interesting article about modern day Memphis, Tennessee, home to Elvis and B.B. King

Share your opinion.
Join us on Wednesday at 18th Nov 18.30h or Friday 20th Nov at 19h in Sala 1.1 at the U.P.

TALKING GROUP

Wednesday 28th October 18.30h

COPYRIGHT

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

Did you know that this song had a copyright? Not any more.
The tune was composed by two Kentucky sisters in 1893.
Mildred and Patty Hill called their version Good Morning To All, which later evolved into the song that is popularly sung at birthday parties around the world.
Warner/Chappell had been collecting copyright fees since 1988 but a decision by Judge George H. King of United States District Court in Los Angeles, stating that their copyright is not valid, is a blow to the music publisher Warner/Chappell and its parent company, the Warner Music Group, which have controlled the song since 1988 and reportedly still collect some $2 million annually in licensing fees for it.
More on the topic of copyright at our discussion group.

THE BIG BAD WOLF

WEDNESDAY'S TALKING GROUP will be discussing fictional heroes in children's stories and whether or not they are good role models for kids.
What do you think?

Also did you know that the traditional fairy tales were originally for an adult audience too and some of the original tales are pretty morbid. Write to us at asedow@gmail.com and we will send you the links so that you can come prepared!
